NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR WOMEN'S
LIBERAL COMMISSION
HISTORICAL COMMITTEE
- The Historical Committee has as its objective the development of a
past and on-going record of Newfoundland and Labrador women at work in
the Provincial and National Liberal Parties.
- This record is to be mainly archival in nature. A booklet may be
prepared to reflect the items collected.
- A file is being compiled, containing memorabilia and other pertinent
information, on each of the women who has been involved. Once this
project contains a useful body of information, it will be available,
with permission, for reference.
- Committee Members include: Patricia Cowan, Dr. Sandra Kromm, Maude
Peach, and Hilda Pollard.
- It is proving difficult to find photographs of Lady Helena Squires
who was not only an elected representative to government but the first
president of the Provincial Liberal Party.
