In addition to sitting as a federal riding rep on the NLYL, Mr. Mercer is the Policy Director with the MUN Liberal Club. Raised in the central Newfoundland community of Grand Falls-Windsor, Mr. Mercer became interested in the Young Liberals during a 1995 by-election campaign visit from the Provincial Youth Executive members where he joined and has since been a loyal member. Mr. Mercer joined the MUN Liberal Club during his first year of university study, where he is currently pursuing joint degrees in Computer Science and English. Mr Mercer would like to pass the message "I hope everyone will take the time to get involved with the MUN Liberal Club and with the party in general, our future depends on the youth"
