CORY PIKE, PRESIDENT Welcome to Cory Pike’s autobiography page. However, after several failed attempts at writing a relatively witty paragraph-essay-style biography, he gave up and opted for an interview style format. As such, he sat down for an interview with himself. Let’s begin. Who are you? Who am I? I am Cory Pike.
Okay wise guy, where are you from? I was born in the St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador on March 20, 1982. Growing up though, I straddled the two Newfoundland metropolises of Milton, Trinity Bay, and Portland, Bonavista Bay.
Newfoundland, eh? I bet you like to fish. Yes.
Are you educated? Well I graduated from high school in 2000, and I’m currently finishing up my BA in Canadian Studies and French at Memorial University of Newfoundland. I’ve been accepted into law school off island, so that’s where I’ll be heading in September.
Arts Faculty? Yeah, I don’t get along well with the sciences or mathematics.
And not political science? Nah, I found it rather boring. Oh, the irony.
So, what does a Canadian Studies graduate do when he graduates? He applies to law school.
Alright, fair enough. So why the Liberal Party? Well, I feel the Liberal Party is the best political party out there. Not so fanatical as the Harper Reform/Alliance/Conservative types. Not as far fetched as the NDP, but still remaining socially responsible. That said, it’s also a family thing. If I was a Tory, I think my grandfather would beat me. Well, he wouldn’t beat me. He’s too friendly. But he’d make fun of me. He’s been voting Liberal since Confederation in 1949.
Alright, that about sums things up. Anything else you want to say? No, I think that pretty much covers it.
Okay, Cory, thanks for taking this time to talk to yourself. No problem. I enjoyed it.
